How to Use Hand Sanitizer Gel the Right Way

At the start of the pandemic, hand sanitizer gel was a hot commodity. Even if you have plenty of it now, are you using it the right way? This product is only meant to be used if you don’t have access to soap and water. Make sure that your hand sanitizer gel has at least 60-70% alcohol. Gently squeeze some of the gel into your hand, and make sure you coat your palms and fingers. Rub the gel in thoroughly for about 20-30 seconds.

Always keep this item out of the reach of pets and children, and store it in a cool, dry place whenever it’s not being used. If your hand sanitizer gel has expired, throw it away and purchase a new bottle. Never try to make your hand sanitizer, and don’t use it as a replacement for thorough hand washing. Make sure the gel is completely dry before touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. If you give your child some hand sanitizer gel, always supervise them and make sure their hands are completely dry before they pick up food or other objects.
